Welcome to our dance and theatre classes

Our theatre classes are fun, engaging and educational as children learn whilst having lots of fun. Natalie follows a dynamic syllabi whilst keeping the classes fun and fresh.

In our Ballet and Tap sessions, we learn ballet terminology, exercises and technique. Each week brings a fresh burst of energy as we follow dynamic syllabi perfectly tuned to your child’s pace. With our ever-changing line-up of exercises, your child will be twirling with delight and mastering new movements each week.

On Thursday’s is our Funky Dance sessions, where every week we learn a new funky phrase! Thursdays is a fun mix of beginners street and commercial. With each session packed with excitement, we dive into a world of rhythm and movement. We dance to songs from Trolls and numerous songs in the charts the children love. From funky beats to innovative steps, we explore it all!

And that’s not all – we jazz things up with a variety of props like bean bags and scarves, turning learning into an adventure of balance and coordination. So, join us as we dance, laugh, and discover together!

In Friday’s Musical Theatre, every child is empowered to unleash their inner star and shine with confidence! In our vibrant sessions, we nurture a supportive environment where kids are encouraged to sing, dance, and act, all at their own pace.

While participation is never forced, our engaging exercises and rehearsals are designed to gently boost self-assurance week by week. Whether it’s delivering lines, belting out solos, or taking centre stage, every child is given the chance to take on roles and express themselves fully.

What to wear?

While we suggest the clothing below for a unified look, please know that we don’t enforce a strict uniform policy. There’s absolutely no pressure to buy these, but if you’re interested, the links below to assist your purchases.

Should you decide to buy online, we recommend checking out the following options.

If you prefer to have your child try on the clothing before making a decision, I highly recommend visiting Ciel, conveniently located on Gosforth High Street. They offer a fantastic selection and excellent service to ensure the perfect fit for your little one.

Ballet

For ballet attire, we recommend pink/black ballet shoes, ideally with a split sole for girls in years 2 and above. Pair them with pink ballet tights, a pink leotard, and optionally, a pink ballet skirt that can either be attached to the leotard or separate.

Please note that we advise against purchasing ballet shoes from supermarkets, as they may not provide adequate support for children’s feet. These shoes are often too wide and lack the necessary support for proper foot development.

Tap

For tap dance, we recommend tap shoes ideally equipped with both toe and heel taps. You can find them pre-attached or may need to attach them at home, depending on the brand.

As for clothing, the same attire as mentioned above for ballet applies.

Thursdays Funky dance

Feel free to keep your child in their current attire, but if they prefer to be more comfortable, they’re welcome to change upon arrival at the dance studio. Our Dancing in the Stars t-shirts are a perfect choice for this class, providing both comfort and style.

If you’d like to order one, simply click here.

Thursdays Cheerleading

Leggings and a t-shirt are great for cheerleading to keep children comfortable while moving. Indoor shoes like plimsolls or soft trainers work best. No need to buy pom-poms; we’ll provide them for your child.

Fridays Musical Theatre

There is no need to change, however if you would like your child to be more comfortable they are welcome to change when they arrive at the dance studio. Our Dancing in the Stars t-shirts are perfect for this class. If you’d like to order one please click here.

Snacks

Please be aware that snacks are not provided during our sessions. If you would like your child to have a snack, please remember to pack one for them.

For the safety of all participants, we kindly request that no nuts are brought into the dance studio due to allergies. Thank you for your cooperation.

Any other questions please don’t hesitate to contact Natalie.
